The author reads “The Bear’s First Story” from Through the Mickle Woods, a book for all ages that tells the story of a king and a boy named Michael who journey through the great woods to the cave of a bear who tells them three stories.  Winner of a Parents’ Choice Award, this book was featured as a best book of the year on CBS-TV’s “This Morning Show.”  The Horn Book said "the language and phrasing are as pleasing to the ear as the story is to the heart."
