Butler University Children’s Literature Conference

The midwinter Butler University Children’s Literature Conference, has been held annually on Butler's campus 1991 with Valiska Gregory as its founding director.  The conference’s purpose is to encourage the writing and reading of good books for children by providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information among authors, illustrators, librarians, teachers, and the general public.  According to a representative of Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers, it is "one of the premier children's literature conferences in the country."  <more>
